Unclog a Bathroom Sink Without Chemicals

If your bathroom basin drains slowly, that means you should clean the drain. I will show you how to remove the clog out of your basin without using chemicals which is bad to breath and also costs money.

The reasons why basin being clogged are mostly because hair and soap scum are caught on stopper or pivot rod. Here is the method of fixing it that only takes you about 20 minutes:

  • Step one, lift out the stopper of basin. And as the type of drains of bathroom basins is slow-moving or stopped-up normally, you can remove the nut of the pivot rod and pull out the pivot rod to release the stopper if it can not be lifted out.
  • Step two, take a wire (using coat hanger or electrical wire will be OK) with tight hook at one end to fish hair or other clog out.
  • Step three, after cleaning the clog, you need to tighten the nut of pivot rod. First hand-tighten it and then use a plier to make it tighter.
  • Step four, let hot water run down the drain to see if the clog is clear. In addition, using hot water has another purpose of removing the remanent soap scum. Moreover, you have to check around the pivot rod nut to see if it is leaking.

Driving at home - put into gear style sink faucet

If I do not tell you the truth, I am afraid it is hard for you to find the work like car gear is actually a sink faucet. The designer applied this classic design of cars into the faucet design skillfully. Corresponding " neutral " to "OFF" and 1,2,3,4 gear to different flow intensity make the faucet look so special.

3 Scientific Sink Faucets for Future Home

I believe that the products in the future will not only have sense of scientific technology, but also show respect for nature and resource.

1.      Hudōr Faucet
Recently designer Fraser Leid designed a sink faucet sponsored by Audi, which is full  of science and technology feeling. The design aims to save more water and break the traditional concept about washing hands.
The whole ring is made of carbon composites and matches with tempered glass and two aluminum rings. The water sprayed from different directions of this ring will not cause any impact to hands.

The cleaning device distributes around circular system. It can save more water and spray demineralized water containing liquid soap at the same time. There is a set of optical band on the back of the ring, which is used to disinfect and sterilize.

There is a red circular temperature regulator on the black box of Hudōr Faucet, which  can be used to adjust water temperature depending on the temperature of the external environment.
2.      Ametis: joystick - style sink faucet

This is an innovative faucet. Its switch is like a joystick of game controller. And its head is different from ordinary sink faucets’, because it is twisty. In addition, there is a ring of LED lights on the bottom of Ametis, which makes the faucet full of fashion.
3.      Duoconceptual design of future sink faucet
The future double sink faucets concept was proposed by designer Berkan Taskin. It is unique because there are two outlets which can spray water simultaneously in semi-circular sink faucet. In this way, the faucet can greatly save using space. So this innovative product is ideal for using in public spaces.

Sink Faucets in Fancy Style

1. Pure

Designer Maxime Dubreucq brings this leaf faucet called "Pure"which has a slender shape. The water will flow out when you press it down. And the angle pressed will be able to control the time of water flowing. If you press harder, the time of flowing will be longer. But as long as you let go, this "leaf" will slowly return to the original position and the water will be turned off.

2. Tap Snail

Tap Snail designed by designer Suzdalev Oleg is a very interesting sink faucet. Its shape is like a snail and two tentacles are switches by which you can respectively control the hot and cold water.

3. Rotary Dial Style Faucet

Rotary Dial Style Faucet, a creativity comes from designer Eun ji Byeon, was used as a clever way to control water amount and timing closure.
There is a dial plate which has 5 seconds, 10 seconds and 15 seconds three kinds of scales on the sink faucet just like the kind of old-fashioned telephone. Water will be released as you rotate the desired scale to the bottom and loose it. And the faucet will be auto off as long as time runs out.
Using Rotary Dial Style Faucet in public restrooms is very suitable. Taken into account the sanitary condition of public goods, the faucet can avoid people touching the faucet after washing hands. And it also can save more water.

4. Linfa Range

Linfa Range designed by Andrea de Dominicis is made of two completely different materials, silver metal and white marble. And its high-tech switch can control the temperature and water flow naturally.

5. Mushroom

The mushroom shaped faucet designed by Fitorio Leksono is very unique. The blue dot and the red dot which can be respectively used to control cold and hot water are touching switches.

Innovative Sink Faucets Save More Water

Now the awareness of energy saving is increasing, especially in water conservation. However the ordinary sink faucets do not have water-saving feature, which results in the water waste in daily life.

This water-saving sink faucet designed into a cuboid shape, has the chrome surface giving it an elegant apperance. Instead of the traditional or touching switch, the designer inspired by the storage principle of water fountain makes the sink faucet could store a certain amount of water flowing out when pulling the ring of it from bottom to top.

You can also press the regulating valve next to sink faucet to adjust the amount of water, which is very humane. In addition, if you want to fill the entire basin, you can press the control button at the bottom of the sink faucet. Then the water will flow out constantly to meet the needs under different conditions.

Seesaw faucet can save more water than some sensor-saving devices. When you get the hand sanitizer from one side of it, the other side will stand up to close the faucet immediately.

Water storage type
sink faucet often reserve rated water. But if you don’t turn off the faucet
when you get hand sanitizer, the water stored in pipe will soon drain away. The
consequence is that your hands with hand sanitizer can not be cleaned instantly,
because you have to close the faucet to wait for it conserving water again.
