The scene is really amazing and touching when
flowers bloom, I believe many people leave a favorable impression of it.
However, flowers are beautiful not only when they are in bloom, but in the
blooming process it is also filled with breathtaking beauty. This process which is hard to see gives the Dutch
work team , Studio Drift, unlimited inspiration. With the theme of plant
movement, Studio Drift spent five years to design「Shylights」, a dynamic home lighting which simulates flower blossoming.
In nature,
some flowers may close petals or leaves to protect themselves because of light
or other factors. While, Shylights completes this series of changes by switch.
Lampshade will quickly open while Shylights is going down from the ceiling,
which is as charming as time-lapse photography.
In order to
make Shylights more realistic, Studio Drift put all heart and soul into making
the skeleton and flexible silk fabrics. The result is so
exquisite, as if it displays the vitality of flowers directly in
front of you and me.
Who would
have thought that it turned out to be a home lighting?
Who would
have thought that turning on a lighting is like appreciating art?
